The Vendee is ideally situated for travel by plane, train and car. The channel port of St Malo is about 3 hrs drive, Caen, Cherbourg and Roscoff 4 -5 hours away. There are UK flights to Nantes, La Rochelle and Poitiers which are all within an hour's drive. Paris is 4 - 5 hours and has an excellent fast train to Sables d'Olinne and Roche sur Yon.
